one of the active ingredients is cala carb 12x hpus ( oyster shells). If someone has a allergry to shell fish then they can not take this product?

    • Rebecca says:

Because oyster shells are the source of the homeopathic Calcarea Carbonica, I would not recommend using the product to someone with a shellfish allergy. In the case of allergies, I think that the cautious approach is the best unless your doctor advises you otherwise.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

      Sincerely,

      Rebecca

Will the BV recurr again and again even with the VH treatment? I’ve read some reviews that indicate it’s not a “cure” but treats only symptoms temporarily.

    • Rebecca says:

I’m sorry to say that BV is a highly recurrent condition for many women. Following successful treatment, most women will experience at least one recurrence at some point, and many women will have multiple recurrences.

There is no currently available treatment that can prevent BV from returning altogether – some women are simply more prone to the imbalanced vaginal flora that causes BV symptoms. For reasons not fully understood, in a BV situation the protective lactobacillus populations of the vaginal flora decline while the resident “bad” bacteria populations proliferate. The resulting bacterial imbalance leads to an increase in vaginal pH and can prompt the BV symptoms many women have come to know and dread, namely an unpleasant odor sometimes described as “fishy”, gray-white discharge, and less often, vaginal irritation.

“Curing BV” is another way of saying that vaginal balance is restored – or the lactobacillus protective bacterial populations are again dominant and thriving, producing sufficient lactic acid so that the vaginal pH returns to normal and the “bad” bacteria populations are diminished and kept “in check”. To be clear, the “bad” BV causing bacteria never completely go away and are present in nearly all women’s vaginas. But, in a healthy situation, they are so outnumbered by the good lactobacillus species that vaginal pH remains in the healthy range and no symptoms occur. Once balance is restored, however, there is no guarantee the imbalance will not happen again. This is true if a woman takes antibiotics, vH essentials, or even if balance is restored naturally without taking any medication at all.

      Rebecca

What if u have Bv and a yeast infection does this med cure both or is is safe to use this med along wit the 3day treatment for the yeast infection

        • Rebecca says:

The vH essentials Homeopathic BV Treatment is indicated for relief of BV symptoms and will not improve yeast infection. Furthermore, vH essentials Homeopathic BV Treatment vaginal tablets may be irritating to vaginal tissue that is inflamed due to yeast infection. Therefore, use of the vH essentials should be discontinued until the yeast infection is fully resolved.

          Sincerely,

  5. rach says:

I seen dramatic great results with the 6 day treatment just after one use. Is it crucial I do the 5 other treatments
or can I save it for when/ if it comes back?

    • Rebecca says:

It is very important to use any medicine exactly as directed on the instructions, unless your doctor instructs you to do otherwise. Specifically related to BV and the vH essentials Homeopathic BV Treatment vaginal inserts, it’s important to give your body every chance to fully restore vaginal balance so that your BV doesn’t come right back. BV is a highly recurrent condition already, and if your body doesn’t have the full 6 days of treatment, a recurrence is all that much more likely. Therefore, it is best to use the product as directed.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

      Sincerely,

      Rebecca

  6. Myra says:

is prebiotic suppositories also a treatment or do I have to take the 6 day treatment 1st

    • Rebecca says:

The vH essentials Prebiotic Suppositories are not a treatment, nor are they specific to BV like the homeopathic BV treatment vaginal inserts. But, by supporting healthy vaginal flora they can be part of regimen that helps resist vaginal imbalance, thereby maintaining vaginal freshness, avoiding odor, and helping to reduce or resist frequent BV (or yeast infection) recurrence.

If you currently are experiencing symptoms you recognize as BV from a previous diagnosis, the vH essentials Homeopathic vaginal inserts are recommended as an over-the-counter alternative for relief of those symptoms and restoration of balance. Many women report noticeable symptom improvement overnight. I recommend following the instructions for use on the package insert. Also, for best results and to help avoid a rapid recurrence of BV symptoms, do not engage in sexual intercourse until you’ve completed a full 6-day course of treatment and your symptoms have completely resolved.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

      Sincerely,

      Rebecca

  7. Hellen says:

Is it safe to use bv capsules while pregnant?

    • Rebecca says:

      Hi Hellen,

vH essentials includes a range of over-the-counter products to help relieve and reduce frequency of common vaginal symptoms and conditions, like bacterial vaginosis or BV. However, whenever a woman is trying to conceive, pregnant or nursing, it is important to discuss any over the counter products you are taking with your doctor. If she has any concerns at all, it’s best and most appropriate to have that discussion with her. The ingredients of the vH essentials products can be found on the vH essentials web site, http://www.vhessentials.com, should your doctor request that information.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

      Sincerely,

      Rebecca

  8. Kayla says:

Is it safe to use VH if you THINK you have BV but have not been told by a doctor ? I am almost positive I do

    • Rebecca says:

      Hello Kayla:

My recommendation is to schedule a medical exam so you know for sure what you are dealing with and discuss treatment options with your doctor. Although your symptoms may be indicative of bacterial vaginosis (BV), there are other vaginal infections that, although less common, could cause similar symptoms. It’s true that vH essentials may offer some over the counter options for you, but it’s impossible to say until you are certain about your diagnosis. If you start purchasing over the counter products without knowing what you are treating, you could make the situation worse.

I’m sorry I can’t be of more help but if you have any further questions please let me know.

      Sincerely,

      Rebecca

  9. Michelle says:

    Can you still have sex?

    • Rebecca says:

For best results and to help avoid a rapid recurrence of BV, it is recommended to refrain from sexual activity until the full 6-day treatment is complete and BV symptoms have resolved. Although not recommended, if engaging in sexual activity during the course of the 6-day treatment with vH essentials Homeopathic BV Treatment Vaginal Inserts, it is best to insert the vaginal tablet after sexual intercourse, rather than right before.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

      Sincerely,

      Rebecca

  10. Dee says:

Can you use bv inserts while on your menstrual cycle?

    • Rebecca says:

For best results, it is recommended to refrain from using the vaginal inserts while having your period. It is best to wait until the end of the menstrual cycle, or when menstrual flow is very light and tapering off, to begin or resume treatment.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

      Sincerely,

      Rebecca
